We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a Senior Financial Analysist who is responsible for analyzing financial data and preparing reports on financial performance, trends and projections, budgets and forecasts, and performing financial analysis to interpret business performance to facilitate decision-making by various leaders.


Reporting to the Senior Director Finance, Corporate Services, you will be responsible for:

  • Design, develop and maintain models and spreadsheets that capture and leverage financial data, ensuring data accuracy, to analyze and interpret results

  • Perform detailed financial and operational analysis and historical trend reports to interpret results and learn from them

  • Analyze divisional expense results and support divisions in managing their budgets

  • Create ad-hoc analyzes and reports to provide recommendations to improve performance

  • Assemble and communicate financial results to the financial department

  • Analyze current processes, develop improvements and create efficiencies

  • Execute OLG’s quarterly forecasting processes and streamline processes as needed to gain efficiencies

  • Prepare annual budgets (and support analytics) in consultation with business partners

  • Prepare financial analyzes in support of new initiatives, Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and vendor analyzes in conjunction with Procurement

  • Assist with financial analysis and support annual reporting, management discussion and analysis, and note disclosure for external financial statements


Professional experience: 3-5 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, reporting and financial controls and procedures

Education: University degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline, a Chartered Professional Accountant designation or in the process of obtaining one at a higher level is an asset

We are also looking for someone with: attention to detail as analytics is used in decision making by business leaders, superior problem solving and critical thinking skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, with Excel as main objective, proficiency in financial/accounting software, ability to locate and collect data from appropriate sources for analysis; Power BI would be considered an asset
