Raymond James Says a trio of financial advisers who previously held $ 670 million in client assets at Merrill Lynch joined its employee advisor channel.
Benjamin clauss, Doug Ellison and Brad LaRue, based in Greenville, SC, operates as Raymond James’ Clauss & Ellison group in Raymond James and associates, according to Raymond James.
The team provides comprehensive wealth management services to a variety of clients, including business owners and foundations, explains Raymond James. They are joined by senior account managers Cathy Logan and Amanda Wood.
The decision to move was due in part to Raymond James’ multi-channel approach, according to Clauss, the company’s senior vice president of investments.
âOur entire team had over 100 years of experience at Merrill Lynch, so moving to a new company was not a decision we made lightly,â Clauss said in a statement. âAt the end of the day, we felt we needed to be in a more customer-centric business, with the right culture, the right tools and the right resources. We also really like RJ’s multi-channel approach and flexibility. ”
Prior to the move Clauss had spent his entire 23-year career in the industry registered with Merrill, starting in 1998 his BrokerCheck record shows.
Ellison similarly was previously only registered with Merrill, as of 1994, according to BrokerCheck. LaRue also started his career at Merrill, in 2018, his BrokerCheck record shows.
