Homes England, the government housing and regeneration agency tasked with freeing up more land to developers to help address the UK’s housing shortage, has appointed property consultant Eddisons to its property and financial professional services cadre in as part of lot 1: Professional real estate services. The framework has been restructured to make a wider range of property services available to all public sector bodies.
Eddisons has seen substantial growth in its work in the public sector and the appointment comes just months after the company won a place as a provider under Crown Commercial Services’ property management services. Since October he has increased the gross development value of public sector land and properties on which he advises to over £1billion.
The new appointment will see the company supporting Homes England in site marketing to developers, site valuations, property management and acquisitions and disposals. They will also advise on local markets, sustainability, investment and strategic planning issues and help create new business models and partnership arrangements.

Since October, Edisons public sector team has added the councils of Cambridgeshire, Reading, Dudley, Bromsgrove and Redditch to its list of local authority clients, which also includes the councils of Southampton, Enfield, Peterborough and Kirklees.
Demand for public sector-related work is growing across the firm’s network of 25 UK offices, with recent new hires bolstering teams at Edisons offices in Sheffield, Fareham and Peterborough.
