Bulfinch Hires Ronald C. Berry as Senior Financial Analyst

BOSTON- Bulfinch Companies, Inc. announced the hiring of Ronald C. Berry as Assistant Vice President, Senior Financial Analyst.

Ronald’s appointment supports the recent growth of Bulfinch’s strategic hiring team in line with corporate strategy Drive until 2025 strategic plan focused on disciplined portfolio expansion, team growth, diversity, equity + inclusion and sustainability.

Ronald joins Bulfinch with over 15 years of experience in planned giving, development and donor relations. Most recently, Ronald served as Vice President, Co-Head of Relationship Management at State Street Global Advisors Charitable Asset Management. In his role at State Street, he was the primary customer service contact advising on the strategy and administration of planned giving programs for major organizations across the United States.

Prior to State Street, Ronald was a senior donor relations associate for Harvard Management Company, where he was the primary constituent contact for all charitable trusts, charitable annuities and common income fund donations.

Additionally, Ronald served as the Senior Development Officer for the Biology Department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he helped increase annual fundraising dollars by almost 400%. Ronald has also held several positions at Harvard University, including Regional Director of Leadership Giving at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study and Planned Giving Coordinator at Harvard University. Ronald began his career holding several research positions in the Education, Politics and Governance program at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

Drawing on his extensive experience working with nonprofits, institutions and environmental groups, Ronald will serve as co-chair of the company’s new community giving program titled Bulfinch Commit. The new initiative serves as a vehicle to encourage and empower the Bulfinch team to actively participate in all areas of civic engagement. Key elements include philanthropic fundraising and grantmaking, expanding strategic relationships with nonprofit organizations, and selected service work projects.

Ron earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from New York University and a Masters of Liberal Arts, Management with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from Harvard Extension School. Ronald is dedicated to many causes, both professional and personal, focusing on arts and culture, education, the environment, human rights, and science + technology.
